Last Rites Gallery was created to offer a new home for artists that prefer to explore the darker side of their imagination. Our intent is to bring a greater appreciation to this often overlooked genre.

We feel that the most powerful art is that which touches the viewer emotionally. By hitting a nerve, this work will often cause one to look inward and explore their own feelings and intense thoughts. Facing one's fears, negating puritanical taboos, and tapping into often repressed emotions is truly empowering and this is where dark art finds its strength. Last Rites Gallery offers a place to recognise this work as it relates to the individual.

We utilize the global reputation of artist and gallery owner Paul Booth, built over that last 20 years to bring a broader scope of art patrons, as well as interest and understanding in the phenomenon of dark art.

The uniqueness of the gallery, aside from its focus on such work, is the collaborative effort between founding director, Genevive Zacconi and Paul Booth. The fact that they are accomplished artists as well, allows for a stronger relationship with the artists we show, and a more understanding and creative approach to the overall presentation of their work. This enhances the experience for everyone visiting Last Rites Gallery.
